An elegant Pure Malt Whisky from Brèires de Rè on Île de Rè, France, crafted with 100% malted barley and potentially distilled elsewhere. Aged for five years in new oak, Bourbon, and Cognac casks, it's finished in Pineau des Charentes barrels. It begins fruity with notes of tart grapefruit, baked apples, and cocoa. Its complex journey includes fruitcake, figs, cinnamon, chocolate, and dried apricot, concluding with a balanced, medium-length finish featuring sea-salt toffee. Tasted June 2020.
