A strong spice is the first impression, but it softened as ice melted. A smoky, oaky taste becomes more apparent over time. A rather woody finish. Not as much complexity as I'd anticipate from a six-year-old. Acceptable, but fortunate that someone else acquired the bottle.
Sampled at Whiskey House SD some years back, and it was a significant improvement over their standard four-grain offering.
Excessively smoky for my preference. I likely wouldn't purchase it again at $74.99.
Wood, barrel spice, and a hint of pepper. A lengthy finish.
A spicy nuttiness is present.
