Lagavulin 30 Year 2006 Special Release

Received this sample without knowing what it was, as an extra to finish off an amazing Lagavulin experience that featured an early 90s white horse 16 and the 2012 21 Year Sherry Cask. When I first smelled and drank it, I noticed delightful tropical and heather flavors. It was later identified as Lagavulin 30. Nose: Lemon Iced Tea, Ginger, Root Beer, Heather, Raspberries, Hay, Blackberries, Green Apples, Salted Caramel, Key Lime Pie, Molasses, Cooked Agave, Marshmallows, White Chocolate Palate: Key Lime Pie, Brown Sugar, Walnuts, Green Apples, Vanilla, Kiwis, Almonds, Brine, Jalapeños, Mangoes Finish: Kiwi, Green Apples, Vanilla, Bananas, Salted Caramel, Coal, Marshmallows, Mangoes
