About this bottle

This 41-year-old whisky is a marriage of spirits produced during the operational years of the Ladyburn distillery. Ladyburn, a Lowlands single malt, was operated by William Grant & Sons and situated in the same complex as their Girvan grain distillery. The distillery ceased operations in 1975, having been open for just nine years. Independent bottlings occasionally surface, frequently marketed under the moniker "Ayrshire".

Received a sample from an acquaintance. Exceptional spirit with hints of vanilla, cereal grains, caramel, peach, cherry, citrus, cotton candy, banana, coconut, apricot, and pepper.
