Belmont Farm Kopper Kettle Virginia Whiskey

I detect apple chips on the nose, which seems fitting given its apple juice hue. Taken neat, I taste corn transitioning to anise, followed by a prolonged alcoholic burn. With a little water or perhaps after resting longer in the glass, the nose shows corn, and the mouthfeel is sweet and oily. Similar to its color, the entire experience is light. A true original, it offers no hint of bourbon or scotch. A delightful whiskey to enjoy and contemplate.

A very sweet, young whiskey. I detect honey and apples on the nose and a strong presence of honey and apple in the taste. A slight spice appears at the conclusion. The two-year aging is evident. It's a light, refreshing drink for summer or a pleasant autumn evening in Virginia.

Since I live quite close, it's certainly worth sampling. It is visibly lighter in color than my other whiskies. Apples are noticeable, yet something is missing. The conclusion is incomplete.

Nose: Sweet apple, ethanol Palate: Sweet and apple-flavored with limited depth or maturity Finish: Brief, with apple and strong ethanol "When in Rome..."

The aroma was reminiscent of cotton candy. It tasted more like a Scotch than a Bourbon to me. It had considerable depth and a warm, smoky finish. Very pleasing.

Sweet and peppery, with apple notes. Lighter than a premium, aged bourbon, but still enjoyable for sipping.
