I sampled this Speyside single malt Scotch neat at 43% ABV in the evening. It is chill-filtered and contains artificial color. Scents of apple and honey. It tastes like sweet vanilla frosting on pound cake, with a hint of anise and baked apple. Lovely strawberries and cream with a honeyed sweetness. Hints of pecans and other nuts on the palate. A medium finish with cinnamon and black pepper. Remarkably complex for such an easy-drinking spirit with low alcohol burn.
