About this bottle

Announced in May 2025, this Cask Strength bottling expands the Knob Creek Single Barrel Select program, which permits retailers to select their own barrel. Each barrel carries a minimum age of 9 years, and the proof will fall between 110 and 130 (55-65% ABV). As expected with these types of releases, variations in taste and proof will occur from barrel to barrel. The suggested retail price is $69.99 per 750ml.

Glenn Bingham 3.5

63.5% WH-J, FL 5, R 19, 9yr 11mth. The aroma is of nutty barrel spice. Notes of cola, nougat, roasted nuts, and oak are present. The finish has vanilla and bark. The alcohol offers slightly more complexity than the 120 proof version, but the heat is definitely noticeable and less refined. My choice would depend on which one offers better value.

Kassandra Donohue 4.0

Nose: oak, vanilla, caramel, butterscotch or toffee, nutty, and a hint of burnt brown sugar. Taste: spicy, with a long warm finish, toasty notes, and a little dark chocolate and dried fruit.

Anahi Quinonez 3.5

Nutty with some heat. A spicy selection from Spring Valley. Hints of caramel and vanilla with spice. But it has the typical nutty flavors of Jim Beam.

Jarred Tracy 4.5

NEBC's X Marks the Spot: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Karter Delossantos 4.0

A tingling sensation, spice, and a lingering presence.
