This expression is a bit reserved. It resembles a traditional highland scotch whisky. With a mash bill of 51% corn and 49% malt, the barley is quite prominent. The aroma features orange fruit, corn meal, honeycomb cereal, vanilla cream, buttered English muffin, light brown sugar, ginger, herbal tea, furniture polish, and some intriguing grassy notes. The taste is primarily driven by barrel spice, considering its 4-year age, and concludes with a slight bitterness. It's straightforward and offers a pleasant departure from typical Kentucky bourbons. It's very likely sourced from MGP.

I enjoyed this bourbon and was pleased by its smoothness and honey notes. It's not complex, just consistently smooth with typical bourbon honey flavors, offering little on the nose or finish. It's comparable to Blanton's in many respects. I wouldn't purchase a bottle myself, but I was content with it as the best available choice at a bar recently. I'm curious about its profile at a higher proof.

Appearance: Bright Orange Gold Scent: Brown Sugar, candy apple, honey, orange zest, baking spices, and some floral hints. Taste: Cinnamon spice, oak, vanilla, orange, and a delayed peppery sensation just before the conclusion. Conclusion: Extended and spicy, with notes of oak, vanilla, toffee, and some floral undertones.

I had this some time ago (purchased on sale for under $20). It's a somewhat fruity bourbon with noticeable floral notes. Nothing exceptionally special for me, but certainly a dependable pour. I wouldn't specifically search for it, but if I find it at a good price, I'll certainly buy it again!

Tamra Beatty 3.0

At only 4 years of aging, it lacks the vanilla, tobacco, and smoothness I appreciate in bourbon. It's okay. The finish is somewhat harsh. I would not suggest it for long, leisurely sipping.

Carmelo Purdy 3.0

A very strong alcohol aroma. The taste is sweet initially (definitely vanilla). Spicy and peppery on the finish. Not bad for a bourbon from Pennsylvania.
