BWG Selection, Batch 27, 108.6 proof, 6 years and 10 months old. Made with 95/5 MGP Rye. Sweet oak on the nose with hints of vanilla, rye, and green apple. On the palate, enjoy cinnamon, warm rye spice, oak, and sweetness. It started with subtle dill, but as the bottle was consumed, the dill notes intensified and now linger after the finish.
Batch #24. Aged for 6 years and 4 months. 111 proof. This one, much like the previous Ryeconic batch I sampled, captures all the expected MGP 95/5 rye qualities. Notes of oak, vanilla, green apples, rye spice, and subtle hints of dill are present.
Packed with flavor, but not outstanding.
