Nose: Smoked ham, raspberry, dark fig, and strawberries. Very meaty with a fresh ocean and sea salt breeze. Gentle peat. Balsamic dressing. Vanilla and mild chocolate. Palate: A briny peat at first. Lemon pepper and peel. It's oily and rich. Tastes of roasted coffee beans, prunes, and bright figs. It's fresh and well-balanced. While not incredibly complex, the flavors transition smoothly. Finish: Earthy with dark bitter chocolates. Fresh peat and oaky vanillas. Very oily and smooth. A decent medium to long finish. Conclusion: A highly enjoyable, well-balanced, sweet, and smoky dram. Definitely worth trying or buying a bottle for a pleasant, regular sipper.
