Nose: sweet strawberry, raspberry; demerara and peat; faint sea air. Taste: sweet strawberry and seaweed; buttery, with strong demerara and medium wood smoke. Finish: sweet, peaty, and oily; slightly tannic and leathery. Overall: a very distinctive dram with several wildly different, clear notes. A touch of water enhances the acidity in the fruit flavors and emphasizes the oak. Excellent character for a five-year-old single cask. -Cask 322/2015, bottled for Craft Cellars (Canada), 58.6% ABV.
