This is the initial non-Italian pomace spirit I've encountered. My name is Marc, though I'm uncertain if my parents named me after this. Hopefully, my namesake won't disappoint. Nose is typical of any grappa I've experienced before. Strong ethanol and some grape seed. Palate is hot and sweet with some raisin and sour wine notes. The flavor persists for a bit as it goes down. This is slightly better than some grappas I've had, but not especially memorable for any reason. I can imagine it tastes much better if you're finishing a bottle at the end of a multi-course meal on the coasts of Cyprus.
