J.W. Kelly Old Milford Straight Bourbon Whiskey A potent, Straight Bourbon from Chattanooga, Tennessee created from a mix of 5-, 6-, & 8-year-old aged bourbon barrels, handcrafted in a 3,000-gallon pot still. It begins richly with hints of oak, white pepper, vanilla, and English toffee; its complex journey introduces notes of honey, baking spice, nutmeg, subtle caramel, coffee, and fine chocolate; concluding with a swift & refined finish, offering a touch of warmth, hints of cinnamon, and barrel char. I'm unsure of the exact flavors I'm experiencing in this glass. My palate isn't finely tuned yet, but a certain element is very prominent in this bourbon's taste, and I really like it! Excellent for sipping straight.

The worst bourbon I've had. Its peculiar flavor is hard to pin down, but it reminds me of Famous Grouse, which is still better than this. Avoid it.

Strong drink but not very flavorful. Think must be young spirit. Lots of rye added to cover flaws IMO as very spicy for a bourbon

Aroma: Caramel, light oak, dark honey, vanilla pods. Palate: Peppery spice, chocolate. Finish: Demerara sugar, heavy oak.

It's not the worst bourbon I've encountered, but it's best suited for mixing. Tastes young, perhaps with a high rye content..?
