Jura 1988 Rare Vintage Bottling Note Single malt from the Jura distillery on the eponymous island, released as part of the Rare Vintage series. This one is a 1988 vintage, bottled in 2018 following a finishing period in tawny Port casks. 1,406 bottles were produced. Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt Nose: Dense, sweet dark fruits and soil-like malt, with a strong dose of thyme-infused honey. Palate: Still loaded with raspberry and strawberry, now accompanied by toasted coffee beans to provide equilibrium and a hint of smoke. Finish: Aged oak warmth, enhanced by black pepper and cooked berries
