I had a surprise birthday party yesterday and opened a bottle of Swing Superior from my collection. This bottle is not widely known but is thought to be from the 90s. It's actually a very pleasant, easy-drinking whisky, bottled at 40% ABV with caramel coloring. Nose: Crème brûlée, Acetone, Lemon, Vanilla, typical of a Johnnie Walker. Palate: Cake, Tobacco, a hint of peat, and biscuits. The finish has allspice, is very pleasant and complex. A truly wonderful aftertaste. Overall, I rate this "rarity" an 89 out of 100. A good dram that doesn't require too much thought.
