High Wire Distilling presents Jimmy Red Straight Bourbon with a Sherry Cask Finish, a limited edition. This bourbon is crafted from a sweet mash of 100% Jimmy Red corn, a scarce variety cultivated on James Island, SC. It is aged in new, charred oak barrels before undergoing a 6-month finish in 225-liter ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The bottling strength is 93 proof.

Smells like corn cobs and red wine. It feels smoother than the standard version. Notes of creamy vanilla, sweet corn, chewy red sweets, buttery oak, and a whisper of peppercorns. A medium-bodied embrace with a reddish hue.
Very fruity, like grape soda and cherries, followed by cinnamon and spice. It drinks warm for its 93 proof, but overall it's a decent serving.
