Jensen Cavazos 4.3

2.16.22 Served: Neat, Flute Bottle Opened: Same day Aroma: Caramel and roasted corn with floral sweetness. Some spicy jalapeño notes on the second pass. Nasal fatigue reveals more earthy tones. Flavor: Sweet yet spicy, with a medium body. Tastes relatively young. Sweetness continues into the second and third sips. Savory notes keep emerging throughout drinking. I can imagine this tasting like a jalapeño cornmeal cupcake. Will be very interesting to mix. Unconventional and unpolished but not unpleasant on its own.

Ashanti Stover 4.3

I received this as a present, and it came from a producer I didn't recognize, so I wasn't certain about it. However, I was quite happy with it. It offered a pleasant combination of sweet and spicy elements, with hints of caramel and fruit, leading into the warmth of the cask strength. I'm eager to sample it again soon to see if my enjoyment remains consistent.

Aleah Zavala 4.3

It presents a clear, copper appearance. The smell is of strong grain alcohol. The taste is similar, with notes of vanilla, corn, and minty rye spice detectable once the heat is overcome. This spirit has a medium-high body and a slightly sweet, lingering finish. - RJT

Donnell Lam 4.3

It's said to be a blend of whiskey from MGP and OZ Tyler. Many might be put off by its relation to the intensely flavored (for me, anyway!) Malort, but this is a genuinely enjoyable bourbon, especially considering its cost. Features a pleasing subtle spiciness.

Elyse Farley 4.0

Smell: honey, vanilla, almond, sugary. Flavor: sugary, vanilla, a little fusel, a little burn.
