This 43% ABV version of Jack Daniel’s Old Number 7 is wonderful. While challenging to acquire, it's highly rewarding for the price if you can get it. Nose: Intense and robust notes of sweetness. Banana, caramel, brown sugar. Exceptionally inviting. Taste: The aromas are all strongly present. The flavor beautifully builds gradually as you swirl a small amount on the back of your tongue for a few seconds before swallowing. It's like liquid gold. I suggest an initial small sip, not held in the mouth for long. Follow this with a good sip of water. Your palate will then be prepared for an amazing experience as you slowly savor this dram. Each sip improves upon the last.

The initial taste of this is unremarkable. However, if you let a glass sit for two weeks after opening, it transforms dramatically. It develops flavors of buttered waffles with maple syrup, nuts, and spices. While my palate isn't the most refined due to years of cigar enjoyment, this definitely doesn't disappoint!

I've been enjoying Jack for some time. This particular series is smoother, richer, and more complex. There's still a subtle finish that confirms its identity.

Sampled during the Angel's Share distillery tour on 6/18/22. Quite enjoyable. The higher proof certainly brings out more character.

Emmitt Gilbert 4.0

A superior version of the classic number 7. It's notably sweeter, smoother, and more mellow. I'm fond of this one.

Alaina Becker 3.8

Disappointing. I was not impressed at all. I would much rather have Jack Daniels single barrel for a similar cost.
