Its aroma alone makes it recognizable as a JD product, yet it offers a refined palate that results in a highly pleasing drink. It's bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof). The aroma is somewhat subdued, featuring notes of banana, red fruits, and maraschino cherries, possibly with a touch of maple syrup. The taste is quite pleasant and exceptionally smooth, presenting the familiar JD charcoal essence alongside banana and nutty undertones. The finish is also very good, where the majority of the flavors emerge. Expect notes of pepper, oak spice, sawdust, dulce de leche, and faint wisps of smoke. All in all, this is a solid dram and potentially a collector's piece for enthusiasts of Jack Daniel's. 82/100.

Tonight I'm sampling Jack Daniels Sinatra Select at 4/5, No 27 gold at 3.75/5, and the 100 proof bottle and bond travel exclusive at 4/5. The 100 proof bottle might be my top pick of the three, rating equally with the Sinatra. The Sinatra has distinct nuances; it's definitely a very refined spirit, while the 100 proof bottle in bond is less refined but overall a very satisfying pour. If the Sinatra and the bottled and bond were the same price, I would choose the Sinatra. However, considering it's likely five times the price, it's a nice bottle to own, but I don't see myself purchasing another.

Remarkable whiskey! Certainly the finest Jack I've encountered, surpassing even the Sinatra expression I sampled. A companion acquired it at the London Duty Free, and I'm fortunate to possess it. It's robust, brimming with sweet caramel, baking spices, and candy corn, concluding with a lengthy butterscotch aftertaste that persists indefinitely. That elevated proof significantly impacts the experience for me. I'll treasure this bottle for its story and its incredible profile.

The 50% alcohol content felt great. The flavor and punch were stronger than standard 40% spirits but not excessively potent like some barrel-proof options, hitting a perfect balance. Brown sugar was the dominant flavor for me, obscuring any background notes. It's a really good pour, though not inexpensive (costing $56 at the airport shop). I'll like consuming it, but I'm questioning if better value exists for the cost. Time will tell once the bottle is empty:)

The nose offers an interesting combination of oak, leather, and vanilla. The palate follows suit with the typical vanilla, but also includes banana and a pronounced oak spice. This whiskey is not overly harsh and has a medium body. Overall, it's a great value, but not exceptionally unique or intricate.

Dry, with a constant banana presence. It's definitely strong, fruity, and full of flavor. I'm still unsure if I enjoy the 50% ABV. The alcohol is very prominent. I'm writing this after my first drink from this bottle; perhaps it's an acquired preference.
