Cheryl Jamison 3.0

J.W. Kelly Old Milford Single Barrel Select Double Oaked Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a good, robust 'Straight Bourbon from Chattanooga, Tennessee, initially aged for 5 to 8 years. After barrel selection, it's transferred to a new American oak barrel for an additional 8-12 months before being bottled at cask strength (109 proof). It presents an intense initial taste of oak and spice, followed by a complex middle with notes of baking spice, white pepper, nutmeg, hints of caramel, vanilla, and English toffee, leading to a long, woody finish with a touch of heat, and hints of coffee and chocolate. Ramiro Nolasco 3.8

On the nose - caramel and vanilla, with a touch of char. On the palate - the caramel and vanilla return with a little spice, perhaps cinnamon. Finish - a bit of a burn, but acceptable for 109 proof. Quite enjoyable and slightly sweet, yet still maintains its bourbon character.

Holden Bayer 3.8

A rich wave of caramel and vanilla, followed by some mild cherrywood and intense oakiness. This is then followed by an intense cinnamon baking spice finish that lasts a medium to full length. I'm quite pleased with it, honestly.

Destinee Delgado 3.5

Very fruity with notes of dates and figs, a little pine, and mint. It's spicy and hot, finishing with a touch of ethanol and lingering fruit. Unlike typical bourbon.

Hattie Downs 2.5

Aroma reminiscent of industrial adhesive and light wood. The taste is an improvement, but it's not particularly memorable.

Oscar Barclay 2.5

Not my preference. From a specific liquor store selection, something feels off. I might try it again after it rests for a bit...
