Neat. Aroma is vanilla and caramel. On the palate, it's surprisingly a bit thick with vanilla and caramel notes, the caramel being more dominant. I detect no baking spices, "rye-like spice", or sharpness whatsoever. This is incredibly smooth on the palate and very sweet. There's also a distinct characteristic I can't quite place; I suspect it's because this is 100% rice whiskey, as I haven't encountered it in any bourbon or rye. Finish is short and sweet. Worth buying? Yes. While it shares some bourbon-like qualities, it's unique enough to warrant a purchase to explore. It honestly resembles bourbon quite a bit. Would I purchase again? Yes, but I'd likely opt for more Single Barrels when I find them, as those are superior.

The initial taste on the front of the palate presented smooth, sweet honey without any harshness. It drinks below its stated proof. My sip concludes smoothly with hints of oak and cherry. It brought to mind an Old Fashioned. Beautifully balanced. I wholeheartedly recommend purchasing it and it could easily be a daily drink if it weren't so scarce for me to locate. I just happened upon this gem during my recent journey to Louisiana. Don't overlook this one!

The aroma is reminiscent of rum, with the palate offering some smoky fig notes. The finish brings to mind a medicinal grape flavor, like dimetapp. It might sound unappealing, but it's actually a fantastic experience. It resembles a much more accessible version of Jack's twice barreled rye. The flavors hit the senses and linger for a considerable time.

Don't expect a rice flavor like you find in some vodkas; you won't get it here. This bottle definitely surpassed expectations, especially considering it's only a 4-year-old and their very first whiskey release. I absolutely recommend it.

This one truly surprised me. It's a smooth, thick drink, especially for 96 proof. I wouldn't have guessed it wasn't a well-crafted bourbon. Sweet and buttery with barrel and spice elements. Definitely worth buying. ✌🏻🥃

nose - upfront sweetness, notes of vanilla and caramel, a hint of oak palette - oak dominates, a gentle rice character emerges halfway through, with a smooth, creamy finish a delightful and approachable drink, a wonderful serving
