Impressive liquid, akin to the dissertation and 35-year-old. The rye spices are more prominent than the corn whisky's sweetness, resulting in a spicy, balanced, and well-rounded dram with characteristics of bourbon, rye, and rum. About this bottle
J.P. Wiser's 23 Year Cask Strength Blend commemorates Master Blender Dr. Don Livermore’s twenty-third year with Hiram-Walker distillery. To commemorate this milestone, the J.P. Wiser's brand is introducing its inaugural cask-strength whisky blend. Dr. Livermore selected individual casks of twenty-three-year-old rye and corn whisky, some at 50% and others at 70%, then combined them. The resulting strength is 64.3%. This whisky is part of Corby’s 2019 Craft Rare Range Series and is available in limited quantities in Canada and the US.

Truly exceptional aroma, with maple and caramel. The palate is rich and heavy with spice, cinnamon, and a delightful hint of vanilla on the finish. An outstanding whisky that I feel is genuinely worth the cost.
For a high proof spirit, it's very smooth. Caramel with notes that suggest rye's characteristic spice, yet it's very smooth with a warming finish. A satisfyingly long finish. Excellent value for the price.
Incredibly thick and syrupy. Remarkable drinkability given the high alcohol content. Abundant notes of vanilla, maple, pepper, leather, stone fruit, orange, and tobacco. A top-tier selection.
This is the Canadian whisky equivalent of Stagg Jr., I've declared it! It possesses a remarkable intensity and a profound, sweet depth that, in my opinion, is unparalleled in Canada.
Nose: Spicy cinnamon heat, wood, molasses, and notes of apple. Palate: Warm cinnamon, sweet brown sugar, rich Cinnabon, a touch of nutmeg, and spicy black pepper. Finish: Sweet toffee with a crisp, clean exit.
