A rich, blended Scotch Whisky by Ian Macleod Distillery, created from a mix of Island & Speyside malts aged at least 25 years in oak casks and bottled at 40% ABV. It offers notes of grain, wood, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices. Its rich profile includes barley, café au lait, tea, toffee pudding, honeyed apples, and molasses cookies. The finish is a balanced, medium length with notes of black pepper, oak, dark chocolate, espresso, roasted hazelnuts, sherry, heathery smoke & sea spray.

About this bottle
Ian Macleod Distillers, an independent, family-owned Scottish company, created the Isle of Skye blended Scotch whisky brand on the island in 1933. This blend incorporates malt whisky from Skye along with malt and grain whiskies from mainland Scotland. The 25 Year bottling is part of the brand's core range, which became available in the US in June 2023. The packaging now features the Cuillin Ridge hills. (SRP $206.99)

A very smooth blended scotch. The finish has minimal smoke. It's comparable to JW Blue, even more mellow in my view, and at a significantly lower price.
Sweet and deep with a whisper of smoke as it concludes
