Isle of Skye 21yo Ceramic Decanter

A stunning ceramic decanter contains an Ian Mcleod Blended Whisky, and the beautiful vessel indicates Skye Island. This 21-year-old whisky is quite appealing, very easy to consume, and extremely difficult to locate. Bottled at 40% ABV, tawny color. On the nose, it smells aged. The initial scent is dampness, reminiscent of an old library with old books. Sawdust, caramel, dry orange cake. Burnt hay, an ashtray. After a preliminary sip, it released toffee and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is very good. Oranges, caramel. Extremely salty, with a hint of pepper and red apples. A second sip provided more salt, but a velvety texture was also present, along with leather. Aftertaste is peaty and a bit too salty. Smoke and salt. Hay and mint. It's truly a salt bomb, but not unpleasant. In summary, this is a skillfully crafted blended whisky. It doesn't even present as a blend, as no grain whisky is perceptible. Certain Tamdhu characteristics are discernible within it. A fine dram, my rating for it is 89 out of 100.
