The brand's origin dates back to 1933 when Ian Macleod created the whisky on the island. The blend comprises malt whisky from Skye alongside malt and grain whiskies from mainland Scotland. This 21 Year bottling is one of six whiskies in the brand's core portfolio, which became available in the US in June 2023. The packaging for Isle of Skye has been refreshed, with each bottle now showcasing the island's iconic Cuillin Ridge hills. The suggested retail price is $114.99.

A 21 year old oak cask blended Scotch whisky from Ian Macleod Distillery. It begins with grain and woody tones, followed by tropical and dried fruit, herbs, and spices. Its life is rich and fruity with barley, raisins, dried banana, citrus, and brown sugar. The finish is medium in length, balanced, with oak, vanilla, oatmeal cookies with walnuts, and peat smoke.
Fantastic Scotch, with deep, moderately sweet notes of brown sugar, vanilla, malt, caramel, honey, baking spices, and dried red fruits. It's deceptively easy to enjoy.
Better than anticipated, with a spicier palate and a more oily mouthfeel than I expected. Quite enjoyable.
