Dave Lee 4.0

The nose is heavy with iodine, brine, and campfire smoke. On first impression this is easily identifiable a peated Islay malt. Palate is initially sweet with salted caramel and toffee before being overwhelmed by ash and brine. The finish is long with lots of salt and some leather. A very impressive malt given the price point. There are some flavors reminiscent of Ardbeg and Caol Ila, but I would say this is most similar to Laphroaig. If you enjoy peated scotch this is a great bottle to pick up.

This is a peat and smoke powerhouse, similar to an Ardbeg but even more intense, at the expense of balance. Strong ash flavor, but yes, I'm enjoying it. Salt comes through with the smoke. It's like a campfire by the ocean with a drop of citrus.

Helen Hopkins 3.3

Really pleasant on the nose, with a strong peat flavor, more so than the Orla. (6/20)

Saul Heredia 4.5

A solid, smoky whisky for daily enjoyment.

Eduardo Souza 4.3
