Islay Distillery #2 25 Year Batch 2 (That Boutique-y Whisky Co.)

Sampled this at a Botuique-y Whisky Company tasting. A fascinating piece of history from when Ardbeg was managed by Laphroaig and used Port Ellen peat. It's lovely, presenting vanilla, floral notes, gentle sweet smoke, spice, fruit, citrus, and umami.

It’s smooth, and the peat has significantly softened.
