Ironroot Republic, a grain-to-glass distillery in Denison, TX, produces this unaged corn whiskey. It is made from an heirloom red corn variety and is bottled at 90 proof. Carpenter's Bluff is the namesake of a bridge notorious for smuggling, connecting Texas and Oklahoma over the Red River.

As moonshine isn't aged whiskey, it naturally falls short when compared to other Ironroot spirits. However, AS MOONSHINE, it's quite enjoyable. The distinct red corn flavor, in my view, elevates it above similar products.
