Hunter's Select Barrel Tennessee Bourbon (Batch 1) honors Colonel Henry Hunter, a War of 1812 veteran, distillery operator, and the original owner of the Leiper’s Fork Distillery property. The sourced whiskey, made with a mash bill of 72% corn, 20% rye, and 8% malted barley, was hand-selected and bottled from small lots of finished Tennessee bourbon barrels, aged for nine years, five months, and 11 days.

The aroma brings to mind sausage and maple syrup, yet these flavors do not carry over to the taste. Prominent cereal characteristics are present. A slight peppery quality emerges.
