110.7 cask strength Nose - heavily musty. Aged wood is prominent with abundant cherries. As it develops, I detect brine and dark licorice. The rye character is intense. Unclear what the taste will hold. Palate - leather, oak, and overwhelming wintergreen mint/gum. The wintergreen is truly remarkable. Some dill is also present. The powerful rye and oak combination is effective. The mouthfeel is quite pleasing and the finish is exceptionally enduring. Warmth is apparent on the finish, along with that subtle dill flavor.
