About this bottle
Businessman Jeffrey Baker is the founder of Hillrock Estate, a distillery in the Hudson Valley, NY, which aims to produce farm-to-glass whiskey. Master Distiller Dave Pickerell was brought on board for this venture. Their Double Cask Rye, made from 100% estate-grown rye, is aged for 2.5 years in new American oak barrels with a #3 char, followed by 1.5 years in barrels with a #4 char. This is then given an additional 6-8 week finishing period in ex-Madeira casks, making it a technically triple-cask whiskey.
