Hill Billy Rye Whiskey

A complex 95% rye whiskey distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and bottled in South Carolina. It has a delicate beginning with notes of oatmeal cookie dough, spicy wood, a touch of corn, and vanilla; its medium-bodied and balanced life adds hints of vanilla and caramel; leading to a long and intense end with warming notes of spice and toasted rye. Made with 95% rye mash and 5% malted barley. It has a golden honey color, with aromas of oak and honey. The flavor is rye spice with undertones of honey and vanilla. The finish is smooth, warm, and balanced with rye spices.

It smells and tastes like a prune. Okay, perhaps I added an excessive amount of ice. It was better on the second attempt when drunk straight, although a bit potent. It possesses the rye spice.
