This is truly a special bottle of whiskey. The aroma is a bit sharp when first poured, but after resting in the glass for a bit, I detected sweet caramel and brown sugar notes. The whiskey is warm from the high proof, but it coats the tongue in an almost syrupy, sweet manner. Beyond caramel, there are some spicy notes present... nutmeg perhaps? Towards the end of the drink, a hint of peat smoke emerges, and it goes down warmly. This is an exceptional whiskey, genuinely one of the finest I've ever had.
