High West Silver Whiskey Western Oat

Nose - Pungent sweet alcohol, zest of grapefruit-like pomelo, pineapple, green banana. Taste - Green pineapple sweetness, tartness, dark berries, sweet almonds, cantaloupe sweetness, a "refreshing" astringency. Finish - Extended pineapple flavor, soft/subtle dark berries, cantaloupe notes stronger, mild fruity sourness. Score - 55/100 Final Thoughts - This silver whiskey was noteworthy. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The nose and taste were intensely fruity, with no overtly unpleasant harshness. However, this is not a spirit I would choose to drink. I suspect it's intended for cocktails and could serve as a fruity alternative to vodka or gin in mixed drinks needing a fruit-forward spirit. Would I drink it if offered? - No Would I specifically order it? - No Would I buy a bottle? - Not again

It smells really sweet, a bit like vodka or sake. It has a clean, refreshing sensation. The initial taste is very similar to sake, almost identical. But then, everyone who rated this considers it something other than a whiskey. I question how it's still classified as a whiskey given its flavor profile.

It has a taste similar to a mildly enhanced vodka. It's a fun thing to try. I had it straight. It was acceptable but unremarkable. It would likely work well in mixed drinks. Interesting to sample, but not something I'll hurry to purchase.

Considering it's clear and has a tequila-like aroma, it's better than anticipated. Forgettable, but acceptable. Not sweet, nor vanilla. Dry. 2.5. Upon reconsidering, it does have a vanilla scent.
