Mark Byrnes 4.5

I've had my share of RTDs and disliked most, never expecting them to be reviewed or rated. I almost didn't include this one until I saw another High Noon Tequila Seltzer flavor and numerous vodka versions, yet no High Noon products are listed on Untappd (though strangely, White Claw's entire product line is available there). Technically, this is an RTD, not a hard seltzer, and it's produced by "High Noon Spirits Company." Regardless, I've consumed dozens of these already and am simply seeking quick reviews to boost my count. The tequila aroma is surprisingly high quality. With notes of white and green bell pepper, it's almost spicy on the nose, unmistakably a blanco tequila and not a mixto. The lime flavor is quite artificial, but still offers some tartness and just a hint of zest. Although the body is very light and effervescent, the taste is potent, starting with a fake, sour lime before bursting into peppery, vegetal tequila notes. If the lime flavor were refined to consist solely of fresh lime juice, this would be the ultimate summer beverage, but it's already incredibly easy to drink as is.
