About this bottle
This lightly peated single malt from High Coast's Origin series is named for the Swedish word for "sea." The name reflects the distillery's position on the Ångermanälven river, which flows into the Baltic Sea. Maturation occurs in a mix of virgin oak and first-fill ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration.

A pleasant surprise for my initial experience with a Swedish single malt. It's light, crisp, with just a whisper of sweetness. The finish is brief, with a subtle smokiness and no peat. Truly enjoyable.
Aroma: Orange zest, marzipan Taste: Caramel, fruity, vanilla Finish: Citrus fruit, oak
The aroma is sweet, featuring vanilla, dried fruit, and a touch of salty caramel on the tongue.
Lightly smoky whisky. A little sweet with vanilla flavor. Best without water.
Very interesting. The aftertaste is wonderful.
