Taste: Sweet, clean peat, saltiness, white pepper heat/tingle, gentle vanilla simple syrup, filtered apple juice, a hint of ash, charcoal, mild generic/dry apple sweetness. Finish: A long, lingering white pepper tingle, persistent ashy but clean smoke, mild charcoal-filtered apple juice sweetness with a faint minerality. Score: 86/100 Final Thoughts: Peat isn't usually my preference, but this is well-executed. The peat smoke is very clean and not off-putting. It strongly reminds me of a Port Charlotte due to its clean peat/smoke character and distinct sweetness. It's not exactly simple syrup, but it's like a generic "crisp" fruit, similar to a sweet unripe apple without the apple flavor.
