The first sniff reveals notes of vanilla and gentle pepper. The initial sip is smooth with light vanilla, caramel, and burnt butterscotch, followed by a woody, peppery/spicy finish that lingers on the back of the mid-tongue. It starts smooth with a mild spicy finish.

About this bottle
Crafted at the Kaikyō Distillery, this rye bottling consists of at least 51% rye and is created in limited batches, with each consisting of no more than 10 casks personally selected by Master Distiller & Blender Kimio Yonezawa. It is first aged in new charred oak barrels and then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. This exclusive US release, the third in the Omakase Series, is limited to 3,000 bottles and will be available starting in April 2024. (Suggested Retail Price $95)
