About this bottle

Omakase is a limited collection of whiskies created by Kaikyo Distillery's Master Distiller & Blender, Kimio Yonezawa. This inaugural release in the Omakase line is exclusively for the US market. It is composed of non-peated single malts aged between 5 and 6 years in new, charred American oak casks, followed by a finishing period in Japanese Mizunara oak barrels. The whisky is bottled at 92 proof without added color or chill filtration. Available since April 2022, production was limited to 3560 bottles.

Dean Stanton 2.3

Musty, doughy oak. It's young but has a full body. Flavors of barrel spice and sweetened seaweed on the finish.
