This expression is a sweet mash bourbon, meaning it is distilled using fresh grain components—69% corn, 19% wheat, and 12% malted barley—rather than incorporating a portion of a previous batch as in the traditional sour mash method. It adheres to Bottled In Bond regulations and is bottled at 100 proof without chill-filtration.

If you're a fan of any Buffalo Trace products, this will satisfy you. Notably, when compared to EH Taylor, it offers a similar flavor profile but is less harsh, with reduced burn and increased smoothness. The taste isn't identical, but it's quite close.
The aroma consists of baked apple, vanilla, burnt caramel, and toffee or maple. The taste is sweet with vanilla, burnt caramel, fruit, a little spice possibly cinnamon, and maple.
A really good wheated bourbon. I suspect fans of Blanton's would enjoy this.
Sweet, mellow, and smooth. It's thin and accessible. Tasted at Conrad's.
This would receive four stars if the Bardstown BiB did not exist.
