A rich amber hue. The aroma presents ripe bananas, vanilla bean, allspice, mango, pineapple, dried durian, clarified butter, and a faint hint of cigar ash. It has a velvety texture. The palate features Bananas Foster (seared bananas, vanilla ice cream, caramel), mango, papaya, muscadine grapes, toasted cinnamon, toasted oak, white pepper, undertones of black tea, grated ginger and menthol, with a subtle gasoline note. The finish is long and intense, slightly drying, with lingering tropical fruit and muscadine grapes, burnt sugar and toasted oak, a touch of coffee grounds, and a subtle gasoline note that becomes more noticeable as the other flavors gradually fade. This is excellent, but aside from being slightly sweeter and having more oak influence, it doesn't significantly differ from the standard 8-year old overproof, which costs about half as much.
