H. Deringer Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey

This is among the least appealing MGP bourbons I've encountered, with flavors of sawdust, hay, and furniture polish. I suspected as much upon seeing the bottle, but this is clearly a case of putting lipstick on a pig. It's best avoided, though the bottle itself is cool and can be repurposed.

This doesn't possess the typical bourbon flavor, but it's certainly distinctive. If you approach it not as a bourbon but simply as an alcoholic beverage, you might be surprised by a sweet and light aftertaste that lacks the usual 'bourbon burn'.

Very floral aroma, lacking much depth. The bottle is a nice display piece, a gift from a friend, but the bourbon itself is unimpressive. Quite young and just average. Free stuff is hard to pass up.

Among the least appealing bourbons I've ever encountered. A strong chemical aroma and taste. It brought to mind the powdered soap used to clean greasy garage floors.

It's a good bourbon; a gift from my wife. It does deliver an oily finish, which is not unpleasant.
