About this bottle

This single grain whisky is primarily crafted from corn, with a small addition of barley. While single grain whisky is commonly used in blends, Greenore is designed for solo enjoyment and is aged for 8 years. First-fill bourbon barrels are employed in its maturation.

The aroma is quite fragrant with sweet corn, but also includes freshly cut green apples, coconut, and gentle woody spices. Vanilla emerges a bit more on the palate which begins silky, but finishes a tad oily. There's a pleasant tart quality to the dram that leaves you salivating for another sip.

From Whiskey Live New York 2016. It's not very good, surprisingly or perhaps not. It's extremely dull. The flavors are just like Tyrconnel or Tullamore Dew, and that's the extent of it. The barrel doesn't contribute much to make it better. What a pity. I had hoped to enjoy it.

Anissa Pak 4.0

Pleasant smell. The usual sharp taste at first, which quickly softens by the end. It lacks the numbing sensation found in a lot of whiskeys. I didn't experience the slick mouthfeel that was described in the expert review. Overall, I found it to be a mellow spirit that gets my strong endorsement.

Eli Cheek 4.0

A lighter color whiskey than I usually drink (I'd say...apricot). Very light and sweet. Maple syrup and honey on the nose. Pepper and cinnamon flavor. A fairly oily and dry finish, with a mild burn. A super easy sipper.

Delia Bruce 4.0

An Irish take on bourbon, fantastic corn flavor with maple sweetness, fresh apples, vanilla, and strawberry skin. So much is happening, plus a long finish of mint and oak spice with an oily mouthfeel.
