Green River Single Barrel Bourbon, NC ABC Commission #2

I was the one who put this bottle on the list. The only reason I mention that is because I had to input an age for the bourbon when adding it. I couldn't find that information on the bottle or the distillery's site. So, I guessed 4 years. I have no clue if that's correct, but it seemed like a reasonable assumption based on other details. My apologies if it's wrong. I wish that info was clearly displayed on the bottle. Regardless, for such a high proof, it's a pleasant drink. Adding 3 drops of water improved it slightly, revealing a pleasant richness and reducing the intensity a bit. The taste is smooth and, despite a little warmth, not harsh like some others with comparable characteristics can be. This was an enjoyable discovery and a good choice for chilly winter nights.
