Aaron Koehler 4.8

A delightful whiskey, its age and proof provide ample opportunity for experimentation. Try it with water, try it with ice. This spirit can handle it. It serves as a blank slate, allowing you to discover the emerging flavors. The whiskey requires some time to aerate when first opened, with a strong ethanol presence on the nose. The aroma features caramel, vanilla, cinnamon… possibly a hint of allspice. The taste is wonderful. A creamy texture, with warm caramel transitioning to a spicy finish. Adding water enhances the vanilla and chili notes on the nose. The palate becomes smoother with candied chilis. The finish again features more chilis.

Bernice Crider 4.3

The aroma is both unique and captivating. Hints of fruit and bubble gum, with no alcohol detected. Very pleasant. The whisky clearly shows its age, offering a sweet palate with a sticky texture and dark fruit notes. The finish is long and spicy, with a subtle dryness. The spice and aroma are its best features. You'd never guess its 54% ABV. I would place this alongside top Canadian whiskies, including Gooderham & Worts 49 Wellington and Pike Creek 21. Without knowing the price, it's a definite purchase if it's in the same price range as G&W 49 and Pike Creek 21.

Tommie Henry 4.3

Bright yellow color. The nose is warm with earthy and caramel notes, and a hint of saltiness. In the mouth, it's full and warm, very spicy for a corn-based spirit, with caramel and butterscotch flavors.

Forrest Sargent 4.3

Aroma of vanilla, oak, honey, possibly some maple. The taste is syrupy and sweet. It has a slightly hot burn.

Julio Dennis 4.0

It has sweetness, but there's an unpleasant quality to it.
