Grangestone 30 Year

Nose: Sweet notes of caramel, chocolate, and ripe gala apples fill the air. It evokes a confectionery, almost like a candy store, though some salted taffy would complete the picture. Taste: A Gala apple coated in caramel leads, followed by developing notes of cinnamon and oak. The palate is remarkably pleasant and lingers satisfyingly. Finish: A robust oak presence marks the finish, with a subtle chocolate undertone as it recedes. The conclusion is of medium duration. Notes: Acquired this bottle nearly three years ago, in anticipation of a milestone birthday. It's currently less than half empty and has evolved positively since opening. The value, considering its age, is exceptional.

Vanilla and honey on the nose, with a smooth character. It has a lengthy finish and is quite agreeable to consume. A definite recommendation for those who enjoy blends.
