Grangestone 14 Year Highland Single Malt is an unpeated Scotch whisky. It spent at least 10 years maturing in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being transferred to Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks for an additional 2 years, resulting in a minimum total maturation of 14 years. The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV.

A rich Single Malt Scotch from Highland, Scotland, aged for 14 years in oak casks and finished in Pedro Ximinez casks before bottling at 40% ABV. It begins with an aromatic profile featuring notes of grains, wood, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; its rich character develops notes of stewed berries & caramel; leading to a moderately long, smoky finish with hints of oak, burnt vanilla & toasted almonds.
A clean aroma, with a slight sting on the palate. A subtle trace of smoke, and perhaps some tart lemon, but otherwise not overwhelming. It's acceptable and certainly drinkable, though I expected a bit more.
Aroma of toffee, almonds, burnt sugar, marshmallows, raisins, and vanilla. The palate has smoke, grain, burnt sugar, vanilla, and bitter orange peel. A soft, smooth finish with a hint of smoke.
Fruity, with notes of plum, cherry, a slight smokiness and peat, and nutty undertones. It has medium complexity and a medium-long finish.
Subtle smoke, but it's one-dimensional with notes of plum and fruit.
A more affordable version of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, presented as a single malt. Very smooth!
