About this bottle

Taos Lightning Straight Rye Whiskey represents a revival by KGB Spirits of a historic American whiskey brand, first produced in 1820 by Simon Turley in Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico. This spirit was favored by frontier settlers, fur traders, and Indigenous peoples of the Southwest. Following Turley's death during the Taos Pueblo Revolt in 1847, the brand has been reintroduced. The whiskey comprises 95% rye and 5% wheat, aged for a minimum of four years in new, charred oak within a high-altitude, exposed mountain storage facility.
