Goslings 151 Proof Black Seal Rum

The finest 151 proof rum I've encountered. The aroma is delightful, featuring spices like cinnamon, alongside caramel and butterscotch. It's not harsh at all. I purchased it on sale for $19.99. While I haven't tasted it neat yet, it was excellent in a Strong Island cocktail. It wasn't harsh and allowed all the flavors to stand out. I plan to try it in Dark and Stormy and Pina Colada recipes soon, after sampling it on its own.

Rich and spicy with considerable complexity, similar to the standard black label. Deep molasses/brown sugar notes. The alcohol is well concealed. I inadvertently put too much in my Dark and Stormy. Use caution!

The best ingredient for a balanced double when creating a mixed drink.

Tasted like thick, dark tar. It definitely gets you drunk though.
