Kody Simons 3.5

Nose: Sweet floral scents (rose, jasmine), complex juniper, citrus (lime, lemon), herbal notes. Palate: The initial taste is fresh and crisp with sweet citrus and mild herbal qualities. Juniper is well-represented but doesn't overpower; coriander is also obvious, as are finger lime and lemon myrtle. The texture is creamy and very pleasant. Finish: Medium length. The fruity/floral palate gradually fades. This is a very typical modern Australian gin, with almost all of them seeming to include finger lime and lemon myrtle (or lemon tea-tree) as local additions. It had no flaws and presented a well-balanced and pleasing profile. It costs $68, which is a fair price for a locally produced gin in Australia. However, this places it in competition with Tanqueray, Roku, and many excellent Australian gins, making for a crowded market. I enjoyed this and might purchase a bottle in the future. Goodradigbee also produces other gins (which I sampled but found less impressive) and vodka. Recommended. "Good": 83/100 (3.5 stars)
